The course gives an introduction to Tibetan Buddhism,   skills and include a two-day analytical and single pointed meditation retreat.
If you are just interested in Buddhism, or experience problems in your life such as uncontrolled emotions, dissatisfaction etc., this course will give you some skills to address these problems and make your life more fulfilling and meaningful.
The participants are expected to attend all sessions. Half day silence is kept as a course discipline.

MALANA: One of the first democracies in the World.
It is an ancient Indian village in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This solitary village in the Malana Nala is isolated from the rest of the world. It is situated on a remote plateau by the side of the torrential Malana River, at an altitude of 3,029 metres above sea level. Unaffected by modern civilization, Malana has its own lifestyle and social structure. It is believed that one of the finest Charas called ”Malana Cream” is grown in this region.

LIVING BRIDGES OF MEGHALAYA

Around Cherrapunji in northeast India there are “living root bridges”, a form of tree shaping, which are simple suspension bridges made of living tree roots of some suitable species such as Ficus Elastica, which produces a series of secondary roots that are perched atop huge boulders along the streams or the riverbanks to form bridges.
Khasi people have been trained to grow these bridges across the raised banks of streams. The root bridges, some of which are over a 100 ft long, take 10-15 years to become fully functional, but they’re extraordinarily strong – strong enough that some of them can support the weight of fifty or more people at a time. The bridges are alive and still growing and gain strength over time.

Shani Shingnapur is a village in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is famous for the fact that no house in the village has doors. Despite this, no theft is reported in the village.

Nanda Devi Raj Jaat Yatra is organized once in 12 years. It’s a 280 km long trek to be covered in 22 days.

International Yoga Festival : 01st – 07th March 2013 at Rishikesh

Every year International Yoga Festival is organized jointly by Uttarakhand Tourism and Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, also known as yoga capital of the world.

Trekking in Triund

Triund will always be very special for me. It is after that I realized that
trekking can be such a life-changing experience!Just the feeling of going 
to places of awesome scenic beauty which are still unexplored by others.
The trekking conducted by travelocon was very great.The guide and other 
staffs provided by travecon are very experienced and the major trekking 
equipments like tents etc. are also of top quality.
 Triund trek amidst the clouds and gigantic mountain peaks is an awesome 
experience! 
The sheer silence of the place as one moves up the hill will be forever
 etched in memory the camping site is breathtaking amidst the panoramic 
view of snow clad mountains and greenery. The arrangements at the camping
 site like food etc were great.the descend which is by a different route
 is even better as it gives a 360 degree view of the Himalayas and crosses
 a wonderful waterfall. The overall arrangements made by travelocon for 
the trek were very good. I thank travelocon and specially alok gautam for
 arranging the trek and 
I am eagerly waiting to go on many more such adventurous journeys in 
association with them. I wish all the people associated with travelocon 
the very best and great success.
